Introduction

The general arc chamber structure design : the arc chamber of the circuit breaker are mostly designed in  grid arc extinguishing mode. The grid is made of with 10# steel plate or Q235. To avoid rust the plate can be coated with copper or zinc, some are nickel plating.  The size of the grid and the grid in the arc is: the thickness of the grid (iron plate) is 1.5~2mm, the gap between the grids (interval) is 2~3mm, and the number of grids is 10~13.

Riveting of grid bracket (arc divider) and grid is a very important process.  If the riveting is not strong, it may bend the grid due to electrical damage, thus reducing the distance between the grid (clearance).  It is generally not advisable to weld two grids together, as they are subject to heat and bend due to the electrical force between them.
